倍加福变送器接收普通或者智能变送器的4…20 mA信号的同时，为该变送器供电。该模块将危险区的测量值（例如温度、压力、流量等）成比例的变送成电流信号送往安全区。

二线制变送器的供电和信号从同一对导线上传输。智能型变送器不仅供电和传输普通的4…20mA信号，同时还将数字信号叠加在模拟信号上。
